The Colombian magazine Fucsia has published an article about the nhow Amsterdam Rai hotel following a site visit by one of their reporters. She had the opportunity to tour every space and experience firsthand the immersive fusion of hospitality art, interior design, and architecture that creates the hotel’s central concept: “The Melting Pot of Cultures.”
The first part of the article focuses on the idiosyncrasies of the hotel—its spaces, design, architecture, interior design, and, of course, the art that unifies all these elements and creates the magic behind the property’s thematic concept. This section highlights the artworks that preside over each of the six headboard designs distributed across the hotel’s 650 rooms. It also features the grand panoramic mural at the Moana Bar, where I blended Japanese and Mexican cultures through two immense “Catrina-Geishas.” These figures star in one of the hotel’s most striking compositions, capturing the essence of cultural identity blending through reinvented iconic symbology.
The second part of the article focuses on my profile as a spatial artist and my work for nhow Amsterdam Rai. It examines the approach of my creative proposal and the innovation represented by fusing artistic work with architectural spaces and hospitality design. This represents a disruptive model for a new generation of immersive experiences that transcend the mere contemplation of art from a third-person perspective.
