About
What I do sits at the midpoint between art and design, which is why it makes sense that my career has combined the two disciplines, and that my professional profile is an uneven blend of both.
My career began in the mid-1990s, exhibiting as an airbrush artist across Madrid's gallery circuit.
In 1999 I moved to London, where I studied Art and Design at Westminster College.
On returning to Madrid in 2001, I began a career moving between graphic design, interactive design and illustration. For fifteen years I worked in top advertising agencies and design studios, and was a partner in one agency — work that shaped my career as a graphic and digital designer. At the same time, I made a name for myself in illustration with a distinctive portrait style combining vector drawing with digital airbrush, inherited from my early years as an airbrush artist. That work took me to exhibitions in London and features in leading publications of the 2000s, that shaped my career as an artist.
This duality between design and art carried me through to 2018, the year I collaborated with an interior design studio on my first major hospitality project: the nhow Amsterdam RAI hotel. The result was such that they called me back for a second hotel the following year, two more in 2020 and several after that — to the point where both my design career and my art career moved into the background so I could focus on a new path that combines the two, translated into physical spaces.
Eight years on, I have worked on ten major hotels across Europe and the Americas and become a reference in contract art and design for hospitality interiors. My legacy is the spaces where I have left a mark that will remain for decades, and which more than a million people have experienced in these first eight years.
