The View Restaurant

KALEIDOSCOPE OF CULTURES

The visual storytelling developed for the Nhow Amsterdam Rai hotel's restaurant The View transforms the curved textile wall into a spectacular visual symphony — a controlled chaos of color and form.
Inspired by the global fusion of cultures, the piece blends visual styles such as Pop Art, Kitsch Art, Urban Art, and Surrealism into a vibrant kaleidoscope of characters and iconic symbols drawn from Mexican, Andean, Scottish, English, Dutch, and Indian traditions. These elements float and intertwine freely, as if caught in an ethereal dance across the surface of the canvas.

Curved support

Physically divided into two curved textile panels, the work unfolds within a nocturnal, “after-hours” atmosphere. Subtle lighting enhances its enigmatic energy, inviting the viewer to sharpen their perception and unravel the intricate interplay of forms concealed among the giant tulip patterns that weave the composition together.
