Rooms’ headboards designs

nhow is an international hotel chain belonging to NH Hotels based on a disruptive concept in which each hotel is in itself a unique work of Art, with architecture and interior design taken care of in every detail along with an innovative design based on large murals dimensions that provide the spaces with an environment in which creativity and inspiration flow in each wall.
nhow Amsterdam RAI is a 4-star hotel located next to the Amsterdam RAI Convention Center whose creative concept is based on the mixture of the different cultures of the world.
As a freelance collaborator for the international architecture studio GLG Architects, in charge of the interior design, I designed the headboards for the 650 rooms of the hotel whose theme is inspired by the cardinal point towards which they are oriented (East, South , North, Southwest, Southeast and Northwest) and the culture associated with it.

EAST

Taking the Japanese tradition as a starting point, I created a Pop Art style composition that transforms the past into the future through a careful mix of elements and tones that are subtly contaminated by the background pattern.

NORTH WEST

In this Pop review of Scottish folklore I mixed different tartan patterns to achieve an irreverent composition and wrapped in an aura of majesty that symbolizes the strength and vitality characteristic of this culture.

NORTH

In North I worked on the traditional aesthetics of the Netherlands, updating it through an iconic composition, with its own presence and light, which mixes patterns and textures drawing a vision of sophisticated and elegant hipster beauty.

SOUTH

I transfer the essence of Africa to the present in this composition of contemporary Pop style that mixes earth tones with nuances of bright colors creating an ethnic polychromy that reflects the joy and vitality characteristic of its cultures.

SOUTH EAST

My Pop review of the ancient culture of India materializes in a composition characterized by a dominant kaleidoscopic pattern that blends with the leading figure, giving it an aura of magic and exoticism.

Additionally, I designed a Persian-style circular rug for the South East Room, which completes the stay.

SOUTH WEST

Andean folklore, with its colorful and saturated clothing, inspires a composition that captures the essence of its identity updated on a modern visual code that gives it freshness, magnetism and uniqueness.
