nhow is an international hotel chain belonging to NH Hotels based on a disruptive concept in which each hotel is in itself a unique work of Art, with architecture and interior design taken care of in every detail along with an innovative design based on large murals dimensions that provide the spaces with an environment in which creativity and inspiration flow in each wall.

nhow Amsterdam RAI is a 4-star hotel located next to the Amsterdam RAI Convention Center whose creative concept is based on the mixture of the different cultures of the world.

As a freelance collaborator for the architecture studio GLG Architects, I designed large murals for the hotel’s cocktail bar.

nhow Amsterdam Rai Hotel

In the Cocktail Bar, the concept of mixing cultures on which the visual imaginary of nhow Amsterdam Rai revolves is staged in the mixture of Japanese and Mexican cultures through an immense mural presided over by two giant catrinas, one of them transformed into a modern geisha, around which float various iconic elements such as Mexican flowers or mythological ghosts from Japan, forming a composition of surrealist tone that unites with unexpected harmony two culturally distanced countries.
This is the magic of the nhow Amsterdam Rai concept: bringing together a priori antagonistic cultures and creating something beautiful, exotic and captivating as a result of miscegenation.
